Method and source

The figures come from the statistical workbooks published by the Direction générale des douanes: customs revenue since 2005 and foreign trade since 2015, refreshed monthly. We archive each edition, normalise the monthly and annual series and compute the trade balance, the coverage rate and the shares. The running year's months are provisional and revised by later editions; a year is only booked as annual once it is closed. Indicative data, not contractual.
